This Updated PokéRap is Everything Right with Pop Culture

As we are currently in the height of the PokéRenaissance, you have to expect some fantastic Pokémon mashups, but we’re happy to report that we’ve found the best one yet! Ally Jane Grossan shared an updated Pokémon rap that may be the greatest encapsulation of our modern age. Neil Cicierega has taken the flotsam and jetsam of the last forty years – everything from Hoobastank to JNCOs to, yes, Pinochet – and renamed every single freaking Pokémon, creating a surrealist stew of pop culture.
